LixPresentr is a Bible projection application designed for churches and worship leaders. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how we handle your data.

1. Data We Collect

Desktop Application (Electron)

  • No personal data is sent to our servers.
  • All data (verses, sessions, notes, settings) is stored locally on your device in a SQLite database.
  • AI features (voice transcription, virtual assistant) use a credit-based system — no API keys are stored on your device.

Web Application

  • User account: email address, name, and profile picture (if provided via Google OAuth or during sign-up).
  • Subscription data: managed by Stripe (we do not store your payment information).
  • Sessions, notes, and custom verses associated with your account.

How We Use Your Data

  • Provide and maintain application features (projection, playlists, notes).
  • Authenticate your identity and manage your session.
  • Process subscription payments via Stripe.
  • Improve application stability through anonymized error reports (Sentry, if enabled).
  • We never sell, rent, or share your data for advertising or commercial purposes.

Data Retention

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all associated data is permanently removed from our servers within 30 days.

2. Google User Data

If you choose to sign in with Google OAuth, here is how we handle your Google data:

Data Collected

  • Email address associated with your Google account.
  • Display name (if available in your Google profile).
  • Profile picture (URL only, if available).

Data Usage

  • Create and authenticate your account on LixPresentr.
  • Display your name and photo in the user interface.
  • Associate your sessions, notes, and custom verses with your account.

We do NOT use your Google data for advertising, profiling, resale, or marketing purposes.

Data Storage

  • Your Google data is stored in our secured PostgreSQL database, hosted on encrypted servers.
  • Authentication tokens are managed via secure JWT sessions and are not stored in plain text.
  • We do not store your Google password — only the OAuth flow is used.

Data Sharing

  • Your Google data is never sold, rented, or shared with third parties for commercial purposes.
  • Stripe receives your email address only if you subscribe to a paid plan.
  • Sentry may receive anonymized technical data in case of errors (if enabled).

Data Deletion

You can delete your account at any time from the application settings. Deletion permanently removes all your data, including data obtained via Google OAuth. You can also revoke LixPresentr's access from your Google account security settings.

Google API Compliance

LixPresentr's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Google Scopes Requested

  • openid — basic authentication
  • email — email address to identify your account
  • profile — name and profile picture to personalize the interface

No sensitive or restricted scopes are requested. We do not access your contacts, calendar, Google Drive files, or any other Google service.

3. Third-Party Services

Depending on the features you enable, the following third-party services may process data:

  • Soniox — real-time voice transcription (audio sent to Soniox servers).
  • OpenAI — Bible search virtual assistant (your messages are sent to OpenAI).
  • Stripe — payment processing for web subscriptions.
  • Sentry — anonymized error reporting to improve stability (optional).
  • Google Analytics — website audience measurement (only with your consent).

AI features (transcription, assistant) operate through a credit system included in your subscription. No third-party API keys are required. These services are only activated by your actions (e.g., enabling the microphone, using the assistant). No data is sent without your explicit action.

4. Storage & Security

  • Desktop app: all data stays on your computer. No account required.
  • Web app: data is stored in a secured PostgreSQL database. Passwords are hashed with bcrypt.
  • Communications are encrypted via HTTPS/TLS.
  • AI features use a server-side credit system — no API keys are stored on your device.

5. Cookies

We use cookies essential to the application's operation (authentication session). On the website, with your consent, we also use Google Analytics for audience measurement. No analytics cookies are stored until you give your consent, and you can change your choice at any time via the "Manage cookies" link in the footer. No advertising cookies are used.

6. Your Rights

You can at any time:

  • Delete your account and all associated data.
  • Export your data (sessions, notes, transcriptions).
  • Revoke permissions (microphone) in settings.
  • Contact us regarding any questions about your data.

7. Children

This application is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

We may update this policy. Changes will be posted on this page with the updated date.
