Projection Templates
Pre-built Templates
lixPresentr includes several ready-to-use projection templates, suited to different worship contexts. Each template controls the appearance of projected verses: font, size, colors, background, and layout.
- Dark (popular) — Black background with white text. The most readable on most projectors and screens.
- Light — White or light gray background with dark text. Suited for well-lit rooms.
- Image background — Landscape photos, textures, or custom images as background. Text remains readable thanks to shadow or overlay effects.
- Minimalist — Clean design with maximum whitespace. Ideal for contemporary-style churches.
Every template is fully customizable: background (solid color, gradient, or image), font, element layout, visual effects, and Bible reference display style.
Recommendation: A dark background with white text provides the best readability in most worship venues. Always test your template on the projector before the service.
Visual Editor
The template editor uses a canvas in the chosen aspect ratio (16:9 by default, with 4:3 / 21:9 / 9:16 / 1:1 presets, or a free resolution for LED walls), matching the output resolution. You can position and resize elements by drag-and-drop directly on the canvas.
- Drag-and-drop positioning with alignment grid.
- Real-time preview: every change is visible instantly.
- Elements use percentage-based positioning for consistent rendering at any resolution.

- Slide Up / Down — Vertical slide
- Zoom — Zoom-in effect
- Dissolve — Progressive dissolve
- Cut — Instant change (no animation)
Configurable duration from 200 ms to 2000 ms. Multiple easing options (linear, ease-in, ease-out, ease-in-out) to adjust the acceleration curve.
Tip: A 300-500 ms Fade is the best balance between smoothness and speed for most services.
